The University of Tennessee Sensors and Controls Laboratory
is
a
team of scientists and engineers dedicated to development,
evaluation, and integration of new sensing and control
technologies in agricultural and biological systems.
Our overall mission is two-fold:
(1) Improve profitability of agricultural production
systems, and (2) Increase effectiveness of natural resource
utilization and conservation practices. |
 |
|
 |
| |
Our
team works in the following areas:
-
Computer
systems for spatial data analysis, signal processing, and
system design.
-
Control
systems for precision placement of crop inputs and vehicle
guidance.
-
Machine
tools for prototype development and printed circuit board
fabrication.
-
Sensors for agricultural
machinery.
-
Systems for monitoring
biological activity and
plant health.
